Paola designs and facilitates workshops for companies with international teams, cross-border operations, or multicultural client relationships. Through interactive, practical workshops and training sessions, employees build the awareness and skills to navigate cultural differences in communication style, feedback, hierarchy, and collaboration. This helps global teams reduce friction and improve how they actually work together. Problems Paola solves: -Friction in multicultural teams -Rework and delays in nearshoring and offshoring projects -Misread signals with international clients -Miscommunication during M&A integration -Onboarding gaps in cross-cultural fluency Paola works in English and Spanish. She also speaks French and Portuguese fluently. Based in Lisbon and working internationally.
SESSION TYPE Half-day, in person workshop
PARTICIPANTS A team of 10 people of different nationalities and cultural backgrounds, working together daily, has developed misalignment that shows up as inefficient meetings, an inconsistent approach to feedback, and unresolved tension between specific team members.
GOALS AND APPROACH:
Meeting facilitation design - Exercises aimed at surfacing the unspoken assumptions about what a "good meeting" looks like (who speaks first, how disagreement gets expressed, what silence means) so the team can agree on a shared way of running them.
Feedback protocol alignment - the team builds their own feedback model, grounded in what each person needs to hear feedback as constructive rather than as an attack or a formality.
Smoothening animosities without assigning blame - Structured, intercultural competence exercises to trace tensions between individuals back to cultural assumptions rather than personality, which lowers defensiveness and makes the issue solvable.
