Carmen Katz
Carmen Katz is a fractional COO, operations consultant and community builder based in Lisbon, with more than 15 years of experience across marketing, operations and membership communities. She spent nearly six years at YPO, where she grew from community manager to Operations and Member Engagement Director for a network of close to 16,000 members. Today she builds and runs operations for founders and communities through her company BizFlow Partners, serves as Chapter Head of Portugal for Work Lekker Network, is operations and community manager for Hermanas, and is leading the launch of a new community that is not yet public. She holds an MBA from Henley Business School, where her distinction thesis studied what drives membership and engagement in professional networking organisations. She also created Find the Stuck, a method that helps founders see which part of their business is leaking before they spend money on fixing the wrong thing.

Rebuilding a global community around its members at YPO
Carmen rebuilt the operating model for the YPO Personal Networks Council, a global community of close to 16,000 members, in a restructure that had been stalled for three years. She secured $500,000 in funding, hired and managed a four-person team, and designed the governance, member engagement reporting and leadership cadence that gave the council a clear view of what its community needed and how it was responding. Her work moved the community from a set of disconnected programmes to a single engine built around member experience.
Building a coaching business from system to product launch at Nina Urman Coaching
Carmen built the operational and marketing systems behind Nina Urman Coaching as it grew to EUR 35,000 per month. She led the brand refresh, website launch and book publishing coordination, and then ran the launch of the company's new products, including a toolkit and a digital course, as well as the launch of a new community. The systems were designed so the founder could step back from day-to-day operations once they were in place.
Launching an innovation hub for Impact Portugal and CoimbraTech
Carmen led the launch operations for a new innovation hub, setting up the project management infrastructure, engaging more than 20 stakeholders, and delivering the operational readiness framework for opening.
